Lachen Monastery is a serene monastery which was built in the year 1858 A.D. It is also known as Launching Gompa and Ngodub Choling. It is just 1 kilometer away from Lachen and one can reach here by walking for a few minutes. The monastery was built by the Nyingma Sect of Tibetan Buddhism and is popular for having a statue of Guru Padmasambhava.

4-Gurudongmar Lake-

The crystal clear Gurudongmar Lake is a must-visit destination in Lachen. It is situated at an elevation of 5,425 meters and the name of the lake has been derived from the name of Guru Padmasambhava.
