Pemayangtse Monastery was built in the year 1705. Basically, it was built as a high-class monastery for the pure monks, Ta Sangs. It is located at a distance of 2 km from Pelling and is the most famous monastery which is situated in Pemayangtse.
It is a three-storied building. Images of Guru Padmasambhava and his various manifestations can be found on the first and second floor. The top floor is made of wooden structures and known as Padmasambhava’s palace. In March, a dance program called Guru Dragmar Cham is organized.

Rabdentse Palace is located at a distance of 3 km from Pelling. It requires a walk of few minutes from the Pemayangtse Monastery to reach there. The second Chogyal of Sikkim, Tensung Namgyal built it. Later it had to be shifted to North Sikkim and then Gangtok. Ruins of the fort have become a favorite tourist attraction now. Three stupas were built on a stone platform for the royal family to worship. It is a part of Sidkeong Tulku Park now which is a paradise for bird watchers.

Darap Village is mostly inhabited by the Limboo tribe. It is situated approximately 7km away from Pelling. The word Darap is originated from Limboo dialect which means a plain or even land. The most famous attraction of this amazing spot is the 200 years old Limboo traditional house. Like any other place in Sikkim, Darap Village is very peaceful and has hospitable people. Yuksam is one of the most popular visiting spots in Sikkim. It is situated at a distance of 33 km from Pelling. It rests at an altitude of 5,800ft. The word Yuksam stands for “Meeting Point of Three Lamas”.
Here you can explore the coronation stone where the first Namgyal king was sanctified by three Tibetan Monks in 1641. The oldest monastery of Sikkim, Dubdi Monastery is situated at a walking distance of 30 minutes from here.

Changey Waterfalls is also known as Seven Changey Waterfalls as the water falls from a higher elevation in seven different steps. It is situated at a distance of 10 km from Pelling.
