Few words on Darjeeling and Sikkim:
Both the destinations are equally charming while the former one is in the state of West Bengal the later is itself a state of India. Darjeeling has been a hot favorite destination on the bucket list of every traveler since the time of the British Raj (Pre-independence) when it was declared as the summer residence of West Bengal.
While Sikkim on the other hand, became a famous tourist destination much later but because of its enchanting natural beauty it has now become one of the most popular hill stations in India.
Darjeeling and Sikkim both being hill stations have some viewpoints which offer a breathtaking view of the snow clad mount Kanchenjunga as well as the majestic sunrise view. However, if you do not visit those places at the right time i.e Darjeeling during Durga Puja, you won’t get to enjoy it. It is one of the busiest roads in Darjeeling and is also popular for offering mystical views of the Kanchenjunga. There are three viewpoints on the mall road and the last one (as said by travelers) is the best one which gives a matchless view of the Kanchenjunga Ranges on a clear day.

Tukla Valley in Sikkim is a place of the true beauty of the Tibetan Highlands which is situated 64 km away from Gangtok. Located at an altitude of 12,500ft Tukla Valley offers a panoramic view of the majestic Mount Kanchenjunga and its associated hills. Visit it between September to October as its time when the whole valley is covered with snow and becomes red. Red Snow?!! No not at all, it becomes red due to the abundance of local flowers.
